Scope: This privacy policy informs you about the processing of personal data when visiting the website. www.marketing-pathfinders.com as well as when contacting and using our services. It meets the requirements of EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as well as the Swiss Data Protection Act (revDSG).

Note for Switzerland/EU: We primarily target our services to Switzerland and the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). Where we process data of individuals located in the EU, the provisions of the GDPR also apply.


2. Terms and legal bases

Personal data Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

3) Processing activities, purposes, storage periods 

.1 When accessing the website (server logs)

  • Data: IP address, date/time, requested URL, referrer, user agent (browser/OS), and, if applicable, provider/hostname.
  • Purposes: Delivery, stability, IT security, abuse/error analysis.
  • Legal basis: legitimate interests / overriding interests.
  • Storage duration: id R. 7–30 days (varies depending on the hosting environment), then deletion or anonymization.
 

3.2 Contact (form, email, telephone)

  • Data: Name, email, telephone number, content of the request and subsequent correspondence.
  • Purposes: Processing your request, preparing offers, communication, contract initiation/execution.
  • Legal basis: Contract/initiation; legitimate interests for general inquiries.
  • Storage duration: after completion of communication; statutory retention period is usually 6–10 years (business/tax law).
 

3.3 Appointment booking (if used)

  • Tool: e.g. Calendly or similar service (integration only recommended after click/consent).
  • Data: Contact/appointment details, time zone, free text.
  • Purposes: Appointment scheduling and confirmation.
  • Legal basis: Contract/initiation; consent if applicable.
  • Recipient/Transfer: Provider acting as data processor; third-country transfer based on standard contractual clauses (SCCs).
  • A notice: For details, please refer to the privacy policy of the respective provider.
 

3.4 Web analytics & statistics (only with consent)

  • Tool: e.g. Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization (recommendation).
  • Data: Page views, events/interactions, pseudonymous IDs, truncated IP addresses, device data.
  • Purposes: Reach measurement, usability optimization, content control.
  • Legal basis: Consent (Opt-In via Cookie Banner).
  • Storage duration: according to GA settings (e.g. 2–14 months).
  • Recipient/Transfer: Google Ireland/Google LLC (USA), SCC for transfers to third countries.
  • Cancellation: at any time via cookie settings.
 

3.5 Embedded Content, Fonts & Scripts

  • Fonts: Google Fonts Ideally, it should be integrated locally; for remote access, a connection is established to Google servers.
  • Libraries/Frames (e.g., maps, forms, videos): They will only be loaded if technically necessary or after consent/interaction (2-click solution recommended).
  • Legal basis: legitimate interests; consent is required for non-essential convenience/marketing services.
 

3.6 Social Media & External Contact (Links/Buttons)

  • LinkedIn, WhatsApp & Co.: pure Left No data is transmitted when the page is accessed. The platform's guidelines only apply upon clicking.
  • Legal basis: legitimate interests in external communication/presence.


4) Cookies & Consent Management

  • Categories: Technically necessary, statistics/analysis, comfort, marketing.
  • Mission: Non-essential cookies/trackers are only after consent (opt-in) set.
  • Cancellation/Amendment: at any time via Cookie settings (Footer/Overlay).
  • Browser options: You can delete/block cookies in your browser; functionality may be limited.


5) Recipient & Order Processing / Transfer to Third Countries

  • Service provider: Hosting/IT, email providers, and analytics/appointment tools operate under instruction as Data processors (Art. 28 GDPR).
  • Third countries: Transfers only take place at an appropriate level (adequacy decision) or by means of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) including additional protective measures.

 

6) Data security (TOMs)

We make appropriate decisions. technical and organizational measuresAccess controls, encryption (HTTPS), role/rights concept, logging, backups, need-to-know principle.

 

7) Storage duration & deletion

We only store data for as long as it is necessary for the respective purpose or as required by law. Afterwards, it is deleted or anonymized.


8) Your rights

EU (Articles 15–21 GDPR): Information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection; revocation of consents given with effect for the future.
Switzerland: Information, correction/deletion, objection, revocation of consent.

9) Minors

These offers are not aimed at children. Data of minors is not knowingly processed; if necessary, only with the consent of their legal guardians.


10) Obligation to provide / automated decisions

There is no legal obligation to provide personal data when simply visiting a website. No exclusively automated decisions including profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.


11) Changes to this declaration

We will update this statement if technical, organizational, or legal changes require it. The version published on the website is the applicable one.
